Information We Collect

We collect information you provide during registration and profile setup, including your name, email address, professional background, work experience, and responses to the compatibility survey. We also collect usage data such as login timestamps, messages sent, and feature interactions.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to generate compatibility matches, personalise your experience, and improve our matching algorithm. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Survey responses are used only to compute compatibility scores — individual answers are never shared with other users. We use automated decision-making to generate match suggestions based on your survey responses and profile data. These matches are indicative only and do not have legal or similarly significant effects. You have the right to opt out of algorithmic matching at any time by contacting help@cammino.net.

Data Sharing

We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate the platform: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage) and OpenAI (which processes profile text to compute match embeddings and generate match insights). All providers are bound by data processing agreements, and transfers outside the EEA rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information if required by law.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data — profile, messages, matches, and photo — at any time from Settings, and deletion takes effect immediately. Operational security logs (such as rate-limiting and audit records) are kept for up to 90 days and then purged automatically.

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data: Access & Portability: Download my data — Use Settings → Account → Download my data to export a complete copy of your profile, messages, matches, and activity as JSON. The download is rate-limited to 3 exports per 24 hours. Correction: Edit your profile — Update your name, headline, about, work experience, education, and skills directly in the app at any time via Settings → Edit Profile. Deletion: Delete your account — Use Settings → Account → Delete Account to permanently delete your entire account, including profile, messages, matches, and photos. Deletion takes effect immediately. If you change your mind, your data cannot be recovered. Opt-out of algorithmic matching: You can request to opt out of automated match suggestions at any time by contacting help@cammino.net. If you opt out, you will no longer receive match recommendations, but you can still manually browse and message other users. Cookies & Analytics

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management; these are always on. With your consent, we also use first-party usage analytics to understand how the site is used and improve it: page views, clicks, and scroll depth, stored in our own Supabase database and tied together by a first-party analytics cookie holding a random identifier — never your name or email. These analytics load only after you accept them in the consent banner, and you can decline at any time — if you decline, no analytics are collected. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data. Analytics records tied to your account are deleted or de-identified when you delete your account.

Data Security & Breach Notification

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you by email to the address associated with your account without undue delay and provide information about what data was affected and steps we have taken to address it.
